This diagram represents the basic flow of a mathematics lesson. The student starts at the section of the lesson that he or she was working before logging off at the end of the last class.
Educators may change the settings using Classroom Explorer so that a student starts at a particular section of a lesson. If the student gives correct answers for all pretest questions, he or she may be given the option to skip to the next lesson or to continue with the current lesson. Educators can also set the option to allow students to advance using Classroom Explorer. Lessons are grouped together like the lessons of a chapter in a textbook. After the student completes a group of lessons, he or she then goes to a cumulative review. The cumulative review presents three problems from each lesson. The cumulative review is used to ensure that the student has learned enough from each lesson to take the cumulative test. If he or she gets more than one incorrect, the lesson presentations for those areas are reviewed. The cumulative test presents problems from each lesson. |
